Available Job Positions
1. TA HACT Programme Officers, NOA Bauchi and Maiduguri

Qualification and Competencies

Education: A University Degree in Development studies, International Development, Business Administration, Financial Management, Economics, Auditing, Project/Programme Management or other relevant field is required.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial planning and management, quality assurance, audit, programme/project development and management or and related areas at the national levels. Previous experience on HACT is an added advantage.

2. TA Programme Budget Officer, NOA Abuja

Qualification & Competencies

Education: University degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Government, Public Administration, or other relevant disciplines.

Work Experience: Two years of relevant professional work experience with experience in programming and budget issues.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in the English language. A good knowledge of the local working language of the duty station an asset. Knowledge of another UN working language, an asset.

3. WASH Specialist NOC, Enugu

Qualification and Competencies

Education: Master’s Degree in public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering or other specialist field related to WASH is required.

Experience: a minimum of five years of professional work experience in WASH-related programmes for developing countries, including one year deployment in a developing country.

Language Requirements: Oral and written proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.

4. Communication Officer NOB, Abuja

Qualification and Competencies

Education: University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.

Work Experience: Two years practical professional work experience in communication, print and broadcast media, or interactive digital media.

International and national work experience (for IP).
Fieldwork experience (for NO)
Background/familiarity with Emergency situations.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and another UN language.
Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.

5. Data Communication Officer NOA, Abuja

Qualification and Competencies

Education: Advanced university degree in the social/behavioural sciences, (Social Sciences, Development Studies, Anthropology, Psychology, and Health Education) with emphasis on strategic communication planning for behaviour development, social mobilization, participatory communication, and research. Knowledge of GIS software, e.g. Health Mapper, ARC View, new technology platforms for data collection and analysis.

Work Experience: Minimum three years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the development, planning and management of social development programmes, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of communication planning processes to specific programmes.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and a second UN language
Local working language of the duty station an asset

6. Senior Programme Assistant GS7, Maiduguri

Qualification and Competencies

Education: Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.

Experience: Seven (7) years of progressively responsible programme support work experience, with coordination and administrative work in the management of programme activities.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is an asset.

7. Operations Officer NOB, Maiduguri

Qualification and Competencies

Education: University degree in accounting, business administration, economics or financial management and membership – or enrolled for membership – of recognized professional accountancy body

Work Experience: Two years of relevant professional work experience.
Both national and International work experience in office management, finance, accounting, ICT, human resources, supply and administration and/or other related fields.
Work experience in emergency duty station.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and another UN language.

8. Nutrition Specialist NOC, Abuja

Qualification and Competencies

Education: An Advanced University Degree in nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, public health, global/international health and nutrition, health/nutrition research, policy and/or health related science field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in public health/nutrition planning and management and/or in relevant areas of maternal, newborn and child nutrition health care at the international level some of which preferably in a developing country is required. Relevant experience in health/nutrition program/project development and management in any UN system agency or organization is an asset.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.

9. Health Specialist NOC, Abuja

Qualifications and Competencies

Education

Advanced university degree in Public Health, Paediatric Health, Child Development, Child Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology, Public Administration, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines. Â

Work Experience

1. Five years of professional work experience in planning, programming, implementation monitoring and evaluation of health/Immunization programmes. Professional work experience in a technical expert position related to child survival & health care.

2. Developing field work experience

3. Background/familiarity with Emergency, an asset.
Language Proficiency

Fluency in English . Knowledge of local working language of the duty station an asset.

10. Human Resources Specialist FT, P-3, Maiduguri, Nigeria

Qualifications and Competencies

Education: Advanced university degree or equivalent backgrounds, in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, Psychology or related areas.

Experience: Five years of relevant professional HR Management work experience. Developing country work experience (for IP) or field work experience (for NO). Background/familiarity with emergency operations and staff security.

Language: Fluency in English is required
