DESCRIPTION

In 2018, IICP will award two scholarships for its MA in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy:

1. Full Scholarship covering 100% of programme fees

2. Partial scholarship covering 50% of programme fees

The recipient of the Full Scholarship will be awarded all of their course fees for the MA

programme under the Scholarship Fund. The recipient of the half Scholarship will be awarded half of their course fees for the MA programme under the Scholarship Fund.

Master’s Level 9 Degree in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants for this scholarship must be eligible to apply for the IICP Master’s Degree in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. Principal entry requirements are:

An honours degree, Level 8 on The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), in counselling and psychotherapy or equivalent and evidence of completion of 50 hours of personal therapy and 100 hours of supervised clinical practice.

OR

An honours degree, Level 8 on the NFQ, plus a professional diploma in counselling and psychotherapy that meets with IACP / IAHIP course recognition standards. The diploma or equivalent must have counselling and psychotherapy at its core and have a minimum of 450 hours in tutor/student contact over the duration of the programme.

APPLICATION PROCESS

You should submit your application using the online form at the bottom of this page. The deadline for applications is 31 st July 2018.

Your application should consist of:

1. Personal Essay Personal essay (approx. 750-1,000 words) statement on “ How I will use my learning, both as a student and following completion of the programme, to provide support to clients and communities who experience social exclusion .” Submissions can be in Microsoft Word document or pdf format. In this essay it might be helpful to address: Your Self, and your experience of involvement in community, voluntary or similar activities;

The reasons why you chose to apply to IICP;

How you plan to fulfil your commitment to contribute to VCS and IICP;

How you plan to use your learning on completion of the programme.

2. A copy of your CV/Resume
